St Mary's narrowly lost out in the championship final today in Naomh Mearnóg. St Mary's started well with fantastic work rate from Sarah Carroll and Sive Byrne. Half time came with a 1 point lead for St Mary's. Scores were tit for tat in the 2nd half with a fantastic goal from Tara Doorey, and points coming from Allie McGrath and Sophie Brown at crucial times. Unfortunately, the last ten minutes saw Dominican College gaining scores without reply and St Mary's were 4 points down at the final whistle. The girls dug deep and fought hard in a very physical game and we are very proud of their achievement in getting to the Senior A final. A special mention to our 6th years who played their final game for St Mary's College today, Roisin Roche, Tara Bedford, Ellen O'Boyle, Hannan Goodfellow Anna Kennedy and Aoife Stynes.
