Submitting your Subject Choice for 2022 - Closing Date Friday 2nd February.
You are now required to complete your daughters’ subject options form online using VS-Ware and to pay for her journal, locker and insurance using our online EasyPayments system.
As outlined at last night’s information evening students’ study 7 subjects for their Leaving Certificate - Irish, English and Maths plus 4 optional subjects. Students also study the following non-examination subjects: - Senior Cycle Physical Education, Religion and SPHE/RSE.
Students are required to choose their optional subjects now. To help with this process I have attached the slides from last night’s presentation and our Choosing the Right Options at Senior Cycle booklet. This booklet contains information regarding individual subjects, LCVP and careers. Students and parents are asked to consult these before choosing their subjects.
The timetable will be designed to meet the needs of the students. Every effort will be made to give each student their first four preferences. However, this is not always possible due to constraints on resources. It may be necessary to substitute the fifth or sixth preference for one of the others. It is important to note that we need a minimum number of students in classes to offer subjects. Students will be made aware of the optional subjects they have been given in May 2024.
Submitting your Subject Choice for 2024
You must submit your subject choice for 5th Year online using our student information system VSWare. To complete your student’s subject choice form, please log into your VSWare account.
Please select ‘Student Options’ from the menu and then indicate the preferred subject options that your student would like to study next year.
Each student will study four of the Optional Subjects. Please list 6 subjects in order of preference from the Optional Subject list. The order of preference does make a difference and No.1 will get priority over No.2 etc. We will use this information in the compilation of Subject Option Blocks. While every effort will be made to give students their choice of subjects it may not always be possible to do so.
The form is complete once you have entered all your subject options.
Please note that you are not required to press the CONFIRM button at the end of the form.
