Well done to the U-17 soccer team who had a fantastic 2-0 AET win over Alexandra College today. The girls put in a huge performance in dreadful conditions to come away with the win. St. Marys battled hard and having made it to full time 0-0 the girls showed their fighting spirit by pushing on and getting the win. Goals from Katelyn Alison-Curtis and Leah McGovern sealed the victory. The whole team played their hearts out, Anna Dunlea was superb in goal, Kayleigh Doheny and Anna Carpenter marshalled the back line, Aibhe Graham was excellent in midfield and Orlagh Fitzpatrick was always a threat up front, but it was Aine Mernagh who was awarded player of the match for an amazing game at right back.
