Inclusivity Week, Mon Dec 2 - Fri Dec 6, 2019
Lighthouse Leaders are running Inclusivity Week Mon-Fri, Dec 2-6.
Intercom morning announcements will reference ways in which we include everyone; in terms of religious identity, ways in which we learn , sexual orientation, cultural background, our skills and talents and so on.
Various lunchtime activities will take place in the Assembly Hall. The trophy press area will be colourfully decorated, drawing attention to the theme of Inclusivity. If you could focus on the importance of inclusivity, and of celebrating diversity in all its forms, in classes such as SPHE, Religion, CSPE and English specifically, or in any other classes generally, it would really support the work of the Lighthouse Leaders.
A competition regarding inclusivity will also be launched, so please encourage your students to create poems, short stories and posters based on the theme of inclusivity. These will be judged in the following week.
Next Friday, Dec 6 is 'True Colours' Day, in which we encourage the students to wear their favourite clothes and colours, reflecting themselves. It is NOT a Rag Day, so no money is being requested from the students.
Many thanks for your support.
The Lighthouse Leaders, Ms Curry and Ms O Humphreys
