In St Mary’s College the butterfly is the adopted symbol for Empathy as it is beautiful and fragile. It is a product of metamorphosis and is an important part of the eco system. The human spirit is also beautiful and fragile and has to be protected and nurtured.

We do this by showing Empathy to those around us.
